If you were wondering........

After reading about my friend Sammi's christmas card disaster I thought I had better offer an explanation of my own. We at first thought we would put the picture of the kids with Santa in our cards this year.......Until Jameson decided he wants nothing to do with Santa and only was concerned with the barrell full of candy canes! Wes loved it but the glare Santa is giving James is priceless - also notice that by the time we got to the front of the live Jamers diaper was so full it soaked through his pants. Priceless memories frozen in time. The second thought was that we would put the pictures fron our reunion in Vegas in our cars. Below are the ONLY two pictures the photographer took before we lost the kids completely. These pictures are priceless and if nothing else it totally represents where we are in our life right now. If anyone would like these pictures in a 16x20 size just let me know. We are going to try again to get some good pics of the kids after the baby comes and will send you all some in our baby announcements. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and we love you all. Best holiday wishes from our family to yours!

Kids say the darndest things!

Here is the latest example of Weston's hilarious little mind.

I had to to put some vaseline on Wes' face before bed due to some dry skin. Here's how the convo went:

WES: Mom I don't want that on my face
ME: It won't hurt Wes -I promise-it will make your face feel better.
WES: No mom
ME: Look mommy puts it on her face sometimes too- see?
WES- Mom is that going to make me have boobies?
ME- Ummm ...No
WES: Good I don't want to have girl boobies.

Are you kidding me?!?! Where did he get the idea vaseline would make him grow some boobs?

Disneyland Pics

This will have to be a quick post ( surprise, surprise) because I have just discovered that we have caught the stomach flu in our house. Jamers is watching a movie right now between throwing up. Wes is fine but I think it's just a matter of time before he starts it too. We just got back from seeing our good friends in CA and visiting Disneyland. This kids had a blast and because it was not crowded at all we were able to both parks and ride all our favorite rides multiple times all in matter of two days. Trips to CA are always too short and fly by. We love seeing the Waldron's and the Ricedorffs and having the three amigos play together but are always so sad when it is time to leave and we realize how bad it stinks to not live near one another. We miss you guys soooooo much!! Here are some pics from the vacation.

The three amigos
The three litttle amigos- they all have green gumballs in their mouths

We are due four days apart yet she looks so much foxier than I do!

Casey Jr. train ride- an all time favorite in our house

Jamers enjoying one of Disneyland's finest treats

This is Tay in his Happiest Place on Earth-- the funnel cake stand. I seriously think that it is the funnel cakes and the churros that keep Tay coming back to Disney Parks.

We hit the first day of Chirstmas decorations! Hurray!

Wes and I riding Toy Story Mania the best new ride at Disney. I definately recommend it. I love how Wes is giving the peace sign like a Japanease tourist.

Lots of Halloween Pics

I am so far behind in blogging AGAIN that it has become necessary to do a post with all the activites and pics from a whole month! This October we visited a Pumpkin Patch in Queen Creek with some friends of ours. This pic is of Weston's friends Pierce and Semeny. Why is is that no matter what the circumstance it is impossible to get a picture of a few kids all looking cute and all looking at the camera at he same time?

Wes and Jamers in the Pumpkin Patch
This is the first year I haven't been able to talk Wes into being what I wanted him to be for Halloween. He was dead set on being Diego ( from his favorite show Go Diego Go) He still was adorable, but he is white and the costume was pretty much normal clothes. Needless to say only the mothers of Preschoolers knew what he was.

The only picture I could get of James in his costume with the wig and all. He left it on for a total of about 15 seconds- but the wig makes the outfit. What an adorable little pirate!!

I had some real problems finding a costume for this year ( see previous post.) I loved the suggestion for the Milkman costume- but I couldn't find a good milkman costume. After MUCH debate we decided to be Morticia and Gomez Adams fro the Adams family ( Morticia was pregnant fpr about 5 minutes in the second movie). I searched and could only find the costume online and ordered it in a size larger than normal thinking that would be fine. Well much to my dismay when the costume arrived it was totally not working with the pregnant belly. I forgot the fitted nature of that Morticia skirt and it was not pretty pretty. We finally had to go with Snow White and the Prince because it was the only costumes left that would fit me. I think it worked out well. We got lots of laughs. I love Tay for always being a good sport about being forced to dress up on Halloween.

Our October Highlights were:
Going to Schneffs Pumpkin Farm
Joining babysitting group in our ward
Learning how to make pumpkin soup ( Yummmmm)
Trunk or treating
Trick or treating
Mike and Mel's Annual Halloween Party
Having Halloween Dinner with the Family
We had a great halloween and a great October!

I need halloween help!

As one of my favorite times of year approaches I am freaking out! Usually I have family themed costumes planned and bought by August or September at the latest. This is the first year I have not been able to talk Weston down from wanting to be something weird. So Wes is going to be Diego from Go Diego Go. Due to the fact that he is a white boy and the costume isn't all that involved I think most people will not know what he is. Westom wanted Jamers to be Dora but that is obviously not happening. Jamers is going to be a boxer ( i think ). What I really need help with is figuring out costumes for Tay and me. We don't mind purchasing costumes but with my prego belly this year is for sure challenging. All the pregnant costumes online are lame and I don't think I am really big enough to warrant a maternity costume. Please give me some costume ideas for m and Tay this year and help me save our Halloween! I know this may seem dramatic but dressing up for all of our halloween festivites is truly one of the things I look foreward to all year. PS -- I expect some awesome thoughts from the most devoted halloween celebrator I have ever met- Mrs. Nikki Tolman- seriously you should see her house for Halloween! I believe last year she even made homemade butterbeer for all the neighbors! She is truly an inspiration.

Heelarious!

My sister in law Cynthia recently showed me the website for a new fun baby accessory called "Heelarious" - they are a little girls first heels!! They are like little slippers and can only be worn until 6 months. You HAVE to check these out!! On the website heelarious.com they have a great video from when they were on the Today show and that will give you a good idea of how crazy funny and adorable these things look on a small infant. I guess they are considered controversial and some people think that it is sexualizing your infant. Give me a break! Judge me if you will but my little girl will for sure have a pair of these and believe me when you see her in them you will laugh your head off! Feel free to leave your feelings about these shoes. I was thinking of getting the zebra print ones.

Happy Anniversary Babe!

Today Tay and I celebrate our 5 year anniversary! I can't believe it has been 5 years, but I also can't remember my life before him. 5 years and 2 1/2 kids!! Wow! I love you so much Tay and I am so thankful to have the most wonderful husband alive. I am constantly amazed by his patience and love for me and the kids ( especially during my pregnant hormonal rantings). I happier and more in love today than the day I married him, so I guess we are doing something right. So thank you Taylor for the man and husband you are and for giving me the two most beautiful kids and the fairytale life every little girl dreams of. Love you!

Happy Birthday to Weston!

Our little Weston turned four last week! I seriously can't believe how the time has flown and how incredibly blessed we are to have such an agel in our house. Weston in full of energy but always so full of love. He tells me at least 4 times a day " Mommy I love you so much." He never gets a treat or lunch without making sure that Jamers has one too. He is such a ball of joy and I hope he never grows up or gets sick of kissing his mom. We had two parties for him ( one for family and one for some kids in the ward.) We did the second "friend" party to try to make him some new friends in our ward. In AZ no one leaves there houses from May until about now, but we are starting to venture out and meet some people. Wes' favorite gifts were his new big boy bike (which he has been eyeballing at Walmart for about 6 months), the play shotgun from Uncle Tyson and Aunt Raschell, and the "Grandma Show." Let me explain what the Grandma show is. Since my family lives in NY, Wes only gets to see Grandma about twice a year. My mom is an amazingly creative person and came up with a way to be close to him everyday. She made a DVD of her reading books to Wes and James. She mails the DVD and the books to us so the boys can watch the "Grandma Show" DVD and read along with the books. It is their favorite thing to watch and we love Grandma so much for soing those special little things to make sure our boys know her.

Here are some pics from Wes' birthday week....and two of my favorite baby pics of our little Weston.

Right after delivery clutching onto daddy's finger.

Look at his beautiful blue eyes!

And we are having....................

A GIRL!!!!
We found out today we are having a girl! We are totally shocked and couldn't be more thrilled. We need some serious name suggestions though because we have really not thought about the possibility of having a girl. So keep the names coming!

Saturday Morning Breakfast

Recently we have started a new tradition of having Saturday morning breakfast as a family. During the week we never eat breakfast together and it has been hard to coordinate family dinners together between gymnastics, church meetings, and me feeling too sick to cook. I usually feel pretty good in the mornings so now we have Saturday Morning breakfast to kick off our Saturday mornings. This also helps with our usual desire to lay around the house and do nothing on Saturday mornings. It has been a really great thing to do! Usually I cook a good breakfast, but we have also gone to Denny's with the kids which they love. I has been nice to sit down together the way my mom always had us do. It's amazing the things you learn when you sit down as a family- just this morning Wes told us that Tutti started with a "T" and Bum starts with a "B". I hope in the future I can be better about juggling all the activites and meetings and make sure we have a family dinner every night ( it's only going to get harder from here).

Ode to Jamers Video

One more addition to the Jamers birthday post is a video that to me personifies our little boy and what he is all about. Mind you this video was taken when he was only weeks after his first birthday. Not to spoil it but the steak in his hands was at least 4oz and he ate the entire thing over the course of an hour or so. We realize we should have taken it away from him, but it was just too funny and we were curious to see how much he would eat.

Happy Birthday Jamers!

It took me two weeks to get this post up- but it's up. I lost the charger to our camera and thus had to borrow my sister-in-law's camera on Jamers birthday. I can't believe that we have had our little James for two years, but I also don't remember our family without him. He brings alot of excitment and endless energy to our life and we are so thankful to him. He is the ultimate Daddy's boy and he still calls me "Daddy" most of the time too. James is always so excited when Tay comes home and runs and SCREAMS Daddy!! Daddy!! Anyone who knows Jamers knows that his scream isn't something that you can ignore. He loves and plays hard and adores his older brother. They play secret games in the closet like "movie theatre" where they bring the portable DVD player in the closet and watch a show in the dark. For Jameson's birthday we had a Little Einsteins birthday party since he is in love with Rocket. We had all the cousins over and some friends from our ward. James loved his party! We love our little boy and are so thankful for his love and his personality in our lives. He is truly one of a kind. Love you Jamers! Here are some pics from his birthday.

Jamers favorite gift- his Rocket! I look a little crazy because I didn't get to shower that day due to many party planning mishaps.

Jamers riding in the back of another favorite- a huge truck. Now when I tell him its time for bed he gets his sippy and blankie and puts it in the big truck and pushes it to his bed.

Cake time! Always a good time in our house. Notice my prego belly in the backround.

I know he doesn't look thrilled- but he really did love his cake- the singing not so much - but the cake he loved.
