Family Pictures

We got some new family pics taken this week from the ultra talented Annie Miller. I love the way they turned out and am surprised how many good ones we got (considering the mood of the kids.) Her website is photosbyaniiemiller.com check it out!

I LOVE this picture of Lucy. I wanted a pic to put in her room of her playing with fairies and Annie delivered!!!.

Every couple of months it seems Tammy, Shelley and I come up with some reason to see each other. This trips usually occur due to a carefully crafted plan mapped out weeks in advance to convince the husbands of a well timed business trip, much needed vacation, or an extension of a family gathering which happens to land us all in the same place. This time I convinved Tay to take a needed business trip to California and Tammy convinved Casey to be home early from there Utah trip so we could have few days of fun before school started for the year. Wes, Kadyn, and Maxwell have been best buddies since birth and they get so excited to see each other. Here is a pic of the three amigos. Aren't they all so handsome. I bet they will all share an apt. at BYU someday. Maybe the mom's will get one to share too.

At Huntington Beach Wes got a little out of control and James buried him up to his neck to teachj him a lesson. Maybe Daddy helped dig the whole too.

James got all wide eyed when he saw the beach and said "WOW a sandbox!" He HATES swimming and so he played in the sand happily all day. At one point he pushed the sand with his head, hence this picture.

Lucy's Big Day

I really can't believe I waited as long as i did to get Lucy's ears pierced. Before you call me a terrible mother hear me out. There are some valid reasons to get your ears pierced young........First they heal way faster, second they are adorable-- okay so maybe only two reasons but they are good ones. After my BFF Tammy got her daughter's ears pierced (she is the same age as Lucy) I decided that with Tammy by my side I could do it. We had a ladies night in Cali while the boys were at a Angel's game and decided to do the deed. With Kylynne (Tammy's daughter) their for moral support Lucy's lobes were pierced. Tammy of course had to hold her because I was too nervous, but seriuosly she didn't even really cry. 1 second after it was done she was fine. She looks adorable.

Weston's First Day of Kindergarten

So first off let me say that apparently this day Wes wasn't feeling the picture taking. I thought I would be so excited to have Wes in Kindergarten but as the day grew closer I grew more and more sick about it. He was totally ready and excited but I felt like I was sending him into the big bad world alone. He is my buddy and I literally felt nauseous everytime I thought about him being gone all day everyday. I guess kids grow by being on their own- -so I had to suck it up and let him go. We had decided to send Wes to charter school and I knew that he would be safe and happy at his school. He wears uniforms and loves it (and so do I!) The first day we got him dressed, made a special breakfast and took him to his new classroom. Wes has an AMAZING teacher who also is a lawyer. She was a judge and had seen so many adults who had given up on themselves as kids and ended up in the system. She decided that the biggest difference she could make in the world was to be a kindergarten teacher and not a judge. She is wonderful and Weston loves her. So far he is doing great in school and has had all GREAT behavior reports for the first month and loves all that he is learning. I have also adjusted to having my little boy missing all day. Here are some cute pics of the little cutie's first day.

Jamers 3rd Birthday

I can't believe my little darling is three years old already. It seems like yesterday he was a little baby but I also can't remember life without this precious boy. He is so spunky and also so loving. I felt like this particular birthday we were celebrating the fact that James is FINALLY emerging from the terrible twos. Finding Nemo is Jameson's favorite movie so we decided to do a Nemo Party for him. This ws my first attempt at making a cute birthday cake and I think it turned out pretty cute. Not nearly as cute as my little JuJu Bear however. Love you baby!!

Wes Goes to the Dentist

Wes is almost 5 and had never been to the dentist. After talking to some friends about when they first took their kids to the dentist I realized I was long overdue to do this with Wes. He definately did not inherit his Mom's irrational fear of the dentist chair and was SOOOOOO excited to go. Our dentist office has a huge playland and also the waiting room is set up like the inside of the an airplane. Needless to say Wes was over the moon. I brought along his blankie just in case of any tears but he was a champ. He did great through all his x rays, exam, and cleaning. The best part was NO CAVITIES!!! Yea for Wes!! I hope he likes the dentist more than I did as a kid. He was very excited to show off his sparkly clean pearly whites.
