Cutie James

I love this little boy soooo much. He is most definately the spirited one in our bunch but he can always make us laugh. The things he says are so funny and he has an adorable high pitched voice that would make anything he said cute. I always tell people that he is so creative with his misbehaving that I often have to turn and laugh before I discipline him because I can't hold it in. I try to do little dates with the boys and today was Jamers turn to go to Costco with me. This was his first time on a Mommy date and I wasn't sure how it would be since taking Jamers to the store can be rough. He was awesome!!! he loved the one on one time shopping. He got to pic out a cute new pair of PJ's and we ate his favorite snack (costco churro). It was alot of fun and great to get to spend some quality time with my middle child. I love so many things about James but one of the things I love most is his ability to imagine. You could give this boy a cereal box and he would play with it for hours. Here are some of the favorite household items James loves to play with on a regular basis.

My candle holder- Jamers calls it his rocketship, yells blastoff and zooms it all around the house.

Hairclip = Monster. He grabs these runs up to people growls and tries to scare you with his "monster"

A few days ago we bought the kids a huge bouncy house/ water slide combo. Weston LOVES it and spent at least 4 hours on it the first day. James on the other hand thought the mud puddle the hose left was just as fun as the inflatable and played there all afternoon.
I love you James and am so thankful that you are ours! We all should be a little more like Jameson and be happy with the small and simple joys in life.

Weston graduated from Pre School this week. I can't believe my baby is almost ready for kindergarden! He had the cutest teacher this year who made school so fun for him. Ms. Debi planned a whole program for graduation to show off all the kids skills like letter recognition, sorting, grouping, calender knowledge and reading. Wes is starting to read and we are so proud of him.

Wes and Ms. Debi
What We See in the Sea skit- basically like the book Brown Bear Brown Bear what do you see

James really wanted to be part of the show and wanted to go up and sit with his big brother.

All the class in their Under the Sea song
It was really cute and Wes is way excited for summer vacation. Bring on SUMMER!

I have been realizing lately how blessed I am to be married to this wonderful man. Since the end of my pregnancy with Lucy, through my recovery from that and all this kidney business Taylor has been rock. He has done the work of twenty men and made sure that I had ample time to recover and heal. Sometimes I feel like all the feedback he gets from me regarding work is "when will you be home" and "do you REALLY have to work late?" I do not thank him nearly enough for working so hard to provide a good life for us. He works so hard and more importantly never puts work or money ahead of the needs of his family. Since Father's Day is centered around Tay's role as a Daddy Mel, Heather, and I thought we would make one day year "Husband Appreciation Day." I started off the night before writing a sweet message on the bathroom mirror and leaving love notes for him all over the house in the places he visits frequently. I was going to make a yummy breakfast, but in true Taylor fashion he got up before me and kept the kids out of our room so I could rest. What a great husband right? We had Weston's last soccer game and after that I told Tay he could do whatever he wanted. He decided to work on his new baby- Not Lucy, his new TL. We met up for dinner with Mike, Mel, Heather and Dave at TGI Friday's - one of Tay's favorites. We had made these awesome shirts for the guys that said "World's Best Husband" but just to clear it up Taylor is the REAL World's Best Husband. Everyone all night kept making comments about the shirts and I think the guys loved it. The big event of the day was that we had gotten tickets to see the best comic in the world Brian Regan. If you haven't ever heard him perform I highly suggest you buy his DVD's. He is totally clean and extremely funny. The show was awesome and it was so great to laugh for a few hours. I love you babe so much and I hope you felt special, loved and especially appreciated that day. I think every husband could use a Husband Appreciation Day.

The final X -Ray

I had to go to get my (hopefully) final X Ray done on my kidney/bladder this morning. Before I went to the hospital Wes asked where I was going and I told him I was going to get a picture taken of my belly. He promptly replied "Mom I just love you, you can't go to the hospital anymore." I couldn't agree more Wes. Hopefully the saga of the bunk kidney is coming to an end. I came home and of course had to check the images out. Look at how big that flipping stint is!! I feel totally justified now in my complaining to Tay about how painful this whole thing has been. I get the monster removed tommorrow- HURRAY!

Oh Wes

This morning Weston was watching Bakugans Battle Brawlers- his new obsession. A bad guy came on the screen and Wes said "I'm going to smack that guy in the face." I told him that we shouldn't say that about anybody even if they are bad. I told him to say he wanted to put that guy in time out. I know it was lame awnserto give him but I had to think fast. Wes thought it was lame too. He thought for a minute and said "I'm going to put that bad guy on a bad guy airplane and tell the pilot that his mission is to take him far, far away." His awnser was way better than mine. Good job Wes.

Costco Fun

Today we went to Costco after Weston's last soccer game. Jamers had broken my glasses and I needed to get new ones immediately or I knew it would be months before I got around to it. It was party time at Costco! Out side the store was a dance troupe doing a performance. The store was filled with all kinds of vendors and goodies. My kids always love Costco because of the samples but this trip was in a league all its own. First stop was the eye center. The boys loved trying on glasses. These were the ones that they liked best. Weston said he looked like grandma.
Next we found a table that if you donated $5 to a charity you got to color a pot and plant a flower! Now we have some beautiful flowers! Good Job boys!
Then we found Scooby Doo promoting some kind of photography book. He was nice enough to take pictures with the kids.

That Jamers is so darn cute!

On tyhe way to buy formula for baby Lucy we found Capt. John Luke Picard! He came to Costco all the way from the Enterprise to visit us. Doesn't that guy seriously look like him?

It was an awesome morning at Costco finshed off by a delicious lunch of pizza, chicken bake and churros. Call me white trash but costco is seriously oe of my favorite places to go. You never know what awaits you there.

Mother's Day 2009

This mother's day was great! I feel so blessed to have three beautiful and wonderful children. They are truly the best kids in the world and I feel so lucky to have them cakk me "Mommy." My day started with Tay letting me sleep (til 9:30!) and cooking me a yummy french toast breakfast. The kids had picked out there own special cards for me (which I love). Weston picked a card out that played the song Get on your feet by Gloria Estafan. He was so proud to give it to me and had written "Weston loves Mommy" on the inside. A tradition in our family is we take the kids shopping for holidays and let them pick out WHATEVER they want to give as a gift. Usually the gifts they choose are hilarious and this Mother's Day was no exception. The boys picked out 2 hershey bars and a box of frosted flakes for me. There eyes lit up when they saw that I loved their thoughtful little gifts. Taylor got me the most beautiful flowers and a massage. His last gift to me was the most thoughtful and wonderful gift ever- he cleaned and reorganized my closet while I was lazy in bed! What an awesome husband! We finished the day with some wingers sticky fingers wraps with Mike and Mel (homemade of course). It was a great and peaceful day.

Weston's Gymnastics Fest

Weston has been taking gymnastics now for about a year. He really loves it and is really good at it as well. His gym was having a Rock N Roll Gym Fest and he was so excited to wear the "costume" and strut his stuff. All season long he looks at the huge trophy case and all the regional and national trophies that are as big as him. All year us moms have been telling the kids that they would get there own trophy at the gym fest. When the big event was growing closer I thought it would be a good idea to make sure they would indeed be receiving a trophy. Much to my dismay the gym owner told us they would be giving out medals instead of trophys. We knew the kids would be devastated so all the moms in Weston's class decided to order some on the internet for them. The kids did great and were thrilled with there trophies (and their medals as well.) Good job Wes!

Taylor's Nightmare

It has been known in our marraige that I am the one that has nightmares. I have woken up mad at Taylor because he "cheated" on me in my sleep. Tay usually makes fun of my overractive imagination but this morning I got my revenge. Our lease is up on the Accord and Tay has been searching for a new car for a few months now. After MUCH looking he found an Acura TL (his dream car) for the same monthly payment we were paying for the Accord. Hurray!! He totally deserves it and he is beyond excited to have it delivered at the end of the week. This morning he woke up and told me how little sleep he had gotten the night before because he had a bad dream. I was shamelessly excited he had a bad dream and asked him to tell me about it. He told me that he dreamed the car arrived early and he went into the garage to see it. He got in and noticed that it was a nice car but it wasn't his beloved TL. He quickly got out and looked at the wheels (his obsession) and noticed they were chrome and had some rust spots on them!! He really began to panic when he walked around to the back of the car and noticed that it was a PONTIAC!! His worst nightmare was being realized! The horror of it all! Being the ever practical Taylor he decided to take the Pontiac for a drive to see if he could make due with it. The car drove like a civic and Taylor realized this would never do. The reality of this nightmare kept Taylor tossing and turning the rest of the night. I don't recall him being this antsy about my surgery or giving birth or Firstline going bankrupt. Apparently I have found his Achilles heal. I can't wait until his baby arrives safe and sound at the end of week so he can know everything is okay.

Surgery Update

Let me apologize in advance if this post is a little confusing-- I'm on loratab and a little fuzzy. The surgery went well and the doctor was able to get all the kidney stones out. They put a stint from my right kidney to my bladder to help it drain while I'm healing. I have to keep it in til the 15th and then it comes out. Because of the ridiculous dilation of my right ureter the doctor wants me to have a renal scan in a few weeks because I guess that my kidney function has been compromised. It's a good thing that I have two right? The doctor told Tay if my kidney doesn't improve they can do more things to fix it. Tay asked if they would remove it -- the doctor thought that was pretty funny and told him they wouldn't. I am feeling pretty good. The stint is sore and I feel like I have to pee every 5 minutes but other than that I am all good. We showed Weston and Jamers the pictures from the scope of my stones (on was buried in the wall of my kidney and the doc had to dig it out). They thought it was pretty cool and Wes keeps telling everyone that I had a rock in my kidney and keeps asking me if my kidney feels better. What a cutie. I feel really lucky to have such great family and friends that have taken the kids, brought dinners and been there for us. You guys are awesome! Especially Mel who took my kids all day 2 days in a row! The doctor told us the chronic inflammatio nand dilation of my kidney and ureter was most likely a result of carrying Lucy and the pressure she put on it. Since this problem was mostly resulting from this last pregnancy Tay and I think that Lucy will have to be our last one. It seems like every pregnancy something goes wrong and I don't want to risk something like this happening again. We feel so blessed to have three healthy children and to have gotten a little girl. I guess thats all- we just wanted to give you an update. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!
