Here is Phoenix there is one of three teddy bear factorys in the US. You can go on a tour and for $13 your kids can make a cute teddy bear (build a bear style). We went this past week and it was a ton of fun. A bunch of the kids little friends went which made it all the better. We brought Kallie with us too. When the kids walked in they were in awe of all the HUGE stuffed animals all around. They enjoyed playing on them before the tour started.

The tour guide took us through the factory which was way less high tech than I thought it would be. Wes and Kallie were adorable acting like a little married couple guiding each other on the tour. Wes informed me during the tour that his favorite color was chartruse (sp?) and asked if they had any chartruse bears.

At the end of the tour the kids got to pick there bears body. Jamers was not so into this process so I had to make his bear for him. Of course Kallie picked the purple bear. They gave each kid a wishing star to make a wish on and then put into there bear. I asked the kids what there wishes were and Weston was "to make Jesus happy." Kallie panicked when she realized she forgot to wish on her star.

Next they went to big stuffing machine and got to step on the pedal to stuff there bears. It made a really loud noise that sent jamers running the other direction. Lucy (by the way) sat in her stoller like an angel the whole time.

After theh bear was stuffed the factory workers sewed them shut.

Finally the kids got to take the bears to this bathtub that squirted air out to get all the fuzzy residue off the bears.

The kids dressed there bears up. Wes got a spiderman outfit for his, kallie got a pink dress for hers, and Jamers picked out a dinosaur outfit for his. Always the creative ones Wes named his bear Spiderman Bear, Kallie named hers Kallie, and James named his Bear. It wa fun end to the summer since school starts in one week!!
