Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!

Ever since the Las Vegas trip I have been having some issues with my bladder. To make a long and graphic story short - after three doctors, tests and a CT scan it has been determined that I have a massive kidney stone! I always thought kidney stones were Heavenly Father's way of showing men how painful childbirth is but I guess the jokes on me. After returning home from my CT scan I got a frantic call from my doctor asking if I could come in right away. When I got to the office he told me I had huge kidney stone that was so large it was completely cutting off my right kidney and not allowing it to drain. My ureter ( the tube that connects your kidney with your bladder) was ridiculously swollen. Here is the pic. My kidneys are directly on either side of my spine. The right one in the pc is normal and the left one is about three times the size.
My enlarged ureter is the darker circle attached on the left side (my right kidney) and isn't even really visible on the healthy kidney since it's only supposed to be about 2mm. Holy crow! These are shocking! I recieved the unpleasant news that I need to have surgery ASAP to remove this stone and have a tube put in to my swollen kidney and ureter to help it to drain and heal. The in two weeks I go back to have he tube removed and have yet another big stone ( still in kidney) blasted to bits by shock waves. Sounds like fun right?

I then asked the doc how a healthy girl such as myself gets a kidney stone to which he replied that I had injested WAYWAYWAYWAYWAYWAY to many tums during the course of my pregnancy and brought this upon myslef. Yet another joy of pregnancy discovered-- oh well she was worth it! Wish me luck for my surgery tommorrow!

Having a Disney Day

There are few people who truly share my love of Disney. I can honestly say Raschell loves it way more than me. We make a few annual trips to the Disney Outlet Store to stock up on all things Disney to use as gifts whenever one is needed. I'll admit a good portion of the things I buy I tell Taylor are for gifts but then I end up giving the kids for no reason. Going to the Disney Outlet and being able to buy things the most ridiculously cheap prices makes me feel like superwoman. This past trip I picked some great deals the highlights of which you will see below. I also like to get the little toys and sunglasses the kids always ask me to buy them when we are visiting a Disney park. I bring them along and the kids think its so cool when I bust out all these little surprises for them throughout the day. They even sell those light up spinning things that are $20 at the parks and usually like $3 at the outlet. When you add in Raschell's 35% Castmember discount to that you have a magic that can only be felt when you are saving extreme amounts of cash. Raschell and I had a girls day for my birthday and went to plunder the outlet. After that Raschell took me out to a real NY deli -- it was even owned by a Jewish couple. It was awesome! Thanks Shell!


We always talk so much when we are together-- in fact so much that I didn't realize I was out of gas. I realized it of course when I pressed the accelerator and nothing happened. I have NEVER run out of gas and it was kind of scary especially since it was like 96 degrees outside at the time. We pulled over and waited for my sister in law Michelle to come rescue us. Thank goodness for DVD players in cars! The kids were fine and we had water. What was truly shocking was the amount of cars )including 2 police officers) who drove right by us and didn't even ask if we were okay. I taught Wes to say "what are my taxpayer dollars paying for!" The kids were picking little little pod like things they thought were caterpillars.

I know I have a little problem. But before you judge keep in mind that each of these dresses was an average of like 8 dollars (thank you outlet and castmember discount) Also if you are noticing she is missing some crucial costumes- Belle and Tinkerbell. Raschell bought the cutest Belle dress ever to give her on her 1st birthday and she is going to be Tinkerbell for halloween next year and I have been holding out to buy that one at the store in Walt Disney World called Tinkerbell's Treasures. (If you were wondering Jamers will be Peter Pan which I have also already purchased and Wes will be a pirate which Nana has purchased already for him.) Before you feel bad for Tay I need to point out that he already knew all about the Disney side of me prior to marraige. When we found out we were having a girl he was afraid so he just gave me a budget. It works for both of us and the kids are making out like bandits.

Funny little Wes

I always brag that Weston is such a good big brother to Jamers and Lucy. I have been so happy to see how easy the transition was adding a new little member of the family. Wes is always the first to make sure James gets whatever he has and make sure Mom doesn't forget one of the kids when we are leaving the house. One really funny example of his adoration for Lucy happened at Lucy's blessing luncheon. Our good friends had just had their little girl about two weeks before and had brought her. During the lunch Weston went outside to see Allan holdinf little baby Sada. Wes thought it was Lucy and asked Allan why he was holding his (weston's) baby. Allan said that this was Sada but Wes didn't believe it. Wes quickly told Allan that he was not allowed to take Lucy home with him. Allan told Wes again that it was Sada and that he ws going to take her home because she belonged to them. Wes paniced and tore through the house to find me. I thought someone had punched him or something because he was crying with big crocodile tears and was really upset. He said "Allan's going to take home our baby and said we can't have her back!" The little dear really thought that Allan was trying to kidnap Lucy. I showed him where Lucy was sleeping peacefully and he began to calm down. You would think a brother this devoted wouldn't trade his sister for anything in the world-- you wouold think. Later on that week we went to Tay's office to bring him lunch and have a picnic in his office. Tay's secretary came in to see Lucy and asked Wes if she could take Lucy home with her. He said no. Then she said that she would give Wes her dog Max if he would give her Lucy. Wes thought this over and replied "yeah!" He told me about his deal and was very excited to get his new dog. I asked him if he really wanted to give Lucy away forever and get only a dog in return (thinking this would jog his conscience) he just said "yup I'm sure. Lets go get my new dog"

Birthday Pedicures

About a year and half ago the sister in laws all decided to make a tradition that on all of our birthdays we all go for lunch and pedicures. I am never needing an excuse to get a pedicure and it's great because you never have to worry about what to buy for peoples birthdays. On my birthday last week we went and got some pedicures!! I seriously love them and could get one all day. Michelle's pedicure girl shafted her- I hate when that happens. Lucy went with us and sat with Aunt Mo Mo for most of the pedicure. I love hanging out with the girls and getting sometime away from the hectic mom lives we all lead. It's nice to just sit and talk and I swear we could talk for days if you let us. We went to lunch at one of my favorite places in the world - Paradise Bakery. They make a mean sandwich and the best ceasar salad I have ever had. Thanks Michelle, Mel and Heather for an awesome day- you made my birthday great!!!

At the salon they had these special kid pedicure chairs. Are they not the cutest thing you have ever seen? They are complete with DVD players at every station. Lucy wanted to try one out but as you can see is just a little too small yet. I am dreaming of mother daughter spa days.

Tons O Easter Pics

Easter time is so much fun!!! Sincce it is obvious that I LOVE to overcelebrate every holiday I thought I would start off easter week with some fun easter crafts with my little guys. We made egg ornaments for our "easter tree" ( a miniature pine tree that we decorate for every holiday. ) We also made a cute pink foam easter tree kit. The kids loved making them and for once I didn't have to finish their crafts all by myself.

My mom is the greatest at holidays (she's where I get my love of celebrating from) She is so sweet and sends the kids cards and treats for every holiday and easter was no exception. She sent them the cutest eggs with candy and some fun books. The kids LOVE getting anything in the mail and this thrilled them beyond belief. Thanks Mom!

Later on that night we made our easter eggs. We had been dying ever since we bought the kit to decorate the eggs. He helped me boil the eggs and set up our kit. This is the first year that Jamers has really been into decorating. They did a great job and shockingly no clothes were stained! Hurray!

This is all the Proudfit cousins ( minus three) I think we are all taking the multiply and replenish the earth commandment quite seriously. It is so fun having this enormous crazy family! I love all the fun. laughter, chaos, andjoy that all these little cuties bring into my life.

After a really unfortunate Provo City egg hunt in which a lady was smoking and dropping the F bomb in front of the my kids and the day eded with the kids getting only trampled on candy and my neice Jaidyn asking why the easter bunny had a zipper on his back we decided to start doing our own Proudfit Family hunt. We had 19 Proudfit kids participating this year and almost 300 eggs. We had a close call with the rain (one of the ten times a year that it rains here!) but in the end we able to have our hunt. This is all the eggs before the kiddos got set loose.

We set them loose-- and their off! I was a little afraid of the mass of children sprinting in my direction. Amazingly no kids tripped or bled or even fought! Weston and Ryden are leading the pack.

The boys after the hunt was over enjoying the spoils of there hard work. Sweet little Wes helped Jamers find some eggs after James found only one promptly sat down opened it up and ate the candy inside. James wasn't interested in finding anymore until it was too late so Wes rehid some of his eggs so Wes could find more.

I learned how to make peirogies - a polish food similar to a ravioli. In Buffalo they have real Polish ladies make them at churches and sell them- in AZ not so many Polish ladies around. I got the recipe perfect this year and they were delicious.

What a day

The kids were off school today and the day started off great! I got to sleep in until 8am and then the boys and I snuggled and watched Disney Channel for another hour. While the boys were taking a bath I decided to get some much needed cleaning done. Since my bedroom is right off our great room I thought I would be safe cleaning the tile in there. I was having a great time until I realized I hadn't heard the boys for a few minutes. Not good. I realized then the bedroom door was closed- that is a sure sign that the boys are knowingly about to break the rules. I grabbed my camera ( because I knew I would find something picture worthy) took a deep breath and opened the door. I found the boys in my closet and this in the bathtub.............

In the tub I found my jewelery box, ALL my makeup, my expensive hair straightener, toiletries galore, toothbrushes, clothes, shoes, my new Nike Shocks, cleaners and to top it all off a sombrero. In addition to this disaster I found the boys in the closet playing with all the "hidden" easter purchases ( if you catch my drift.) Weston was so excited to find a new book, bubbles and informed me that " it was time time for easter and he loved his new book" I promptly put the boys in their room for the time out of the century. I left them in there for a half hour. This is the picture of what I found when I opened the door to their room a half hour later----- total mess. I can't win today.

Any suggestions on what to do about them finding all their easter goodies?? About an hour later the boys were playing outside and I heard a crashing noise. Weston had been attempting to climb the safety net on our trampoline and he broke it. He knew he was in deep trouble. All afternoon he has been coming up to me saying " Mom I'm sorry I ruined easter I will clean it all up" Of course his heartfelt apology and willingness to make things right help to calm me down and all I can do is laugh. We all have these days.

Mesa Temple Easter Pageant

We have started a family tradition of going to the Jesus the Christ easter pageant at the Mesa Temple. It is the best depiction of the life, death and ressurection of Christ and I love to take the kids and help to see the scriptures come to life. Heather and I got there 4 hours early to reserve some good seats for the fam since it is a wildly popular show. Jason and Cynthia were in town with there kids and it was great to be there with them. During the 4 hour wait Heather and I indulged in my new favorite pastime- coloring with color wonder markers. The kids have a bunch of the color wonder coloring books and I must admit I bought a Tinkerbell and a princess one because I was so sick of coloring Diego and Buzzlightyear pictures. I love coloring! It is so relaxing. The four hours went by fast without our kids there and was actually pretty fun. Taylor and dave arrived with the kids and some Subway for Heather and I. Wes and James loved the live animals and watching Jesus. Our cutie neice Dagen kept imitating the animal sounds of the animals in the pageant- hilarious. Wes kept saying " I want to make Jesus so happy!" During the crucifiction scene Weston got a little upset and said " I need to go and shoot the bad guys mom!!" I love to hear the thoughts of this crazy cute little boy. James was pretty preoccupied spying planes in the sky. On the way out of the pageant Wes turned to us and said "Mom we need to cross the bad guys that killed Jesus" He had really thought about it and wanted to bad guys to receive the same punishment that they had inflicted on Christ. I love that his little mind is thinking and trying to process these spiritual truths. It helps me to know he is learning. On way in our front door he said " I'm so glad that Jesus died for us so we can go to heaven" Yes!!!! He is getting it! Earlier this week we were having Family Home Evening and we were talking about Easter and what it all meant. When I brought up the atonement I tried to explain it in a truthful but non scary way. Wes thought about it for a minute and said " like at grandma's church?" ( He was refering to the crucifix that is hanging up in my parents church ) How does he remember that ??!?!?! It goes to show that kids are picking things up even when we don't realize they are.

Vegas Trip

Taylor and Mike had a security convention in Las Vegas last weekend and wanted Mel and I to come with them. Without kids none the less! (Thanks Heather for watching my babies) We had some fun girl time eating room service, watching movies, blogging (of course), working out, laying in the sun! Little Lucy was with us and enjoyed the girl time ( and buffets) as well. I think this will be the first of many girl extravaganzas with my little girl and I. We ate at Bellagio Hotel's buffet, had a blast on the strip, saw an awesome magic show, ate at one of my fav restaurants Bahama Breeze, rode the Manhattan Express at the New York, New York casino, and mainly had a blast acting like kids all over Las Vegas Blvd. Lucy did have thrush, I injured my bladder doing some crazy tricks on a treadmill, and the guys were EXHAUSTED but it was still an awesome break and some much needed R and R. Thanks for the awesome trip guys!

Weston's first soccer game

Wes has been wanting to play soccer ever since his cousin Collin started playing on a team awhile ago. This season he started playing on a team! The first few practices were a little rough but now Wes loves it and I am so proud of him for sticking with it. Taylor suggested the team name The Vikings and everyone loved it! We had Weston's first game on saturday and he did great! For right now he just runs where everyone else runs and he still is a little unclear on how it's okay to be aggressive and take the ball from people. He looks adorable in his uniform and loves to put it on. We'll keep you all informed of his progress throughout the season.
