I need halloween help!
As one of my favorite times of year approaches I am freaking out! Usually I have family themed costumes planned and bought by August or September at the latest. This is the first year I have not been able to talk Weston down from wanting to be something weird. So Wes is going to be Diego from Go Diego Go. Due to the fact that he is a white boy and the costume isn't all that involved I think most people will not know what he is. Westom wanted Jamers to be Dora but that is obviously not happening. Jamers is going to be a boxer ( i think ). What I really need help with is figuring out costumes for Tay and me. We don't mind purchasing costumes but with my prego belly this year is for sure challenging. All the pregnant costumes online are lame and I don't think I am really big enough to warrant a maternity costume. Please give me some costume ideas for m and Tay this year and help me save our Halloween! I know this may seem dramatic but dressing up for all of our halloween festivites is truly one of the things I look foreward to all year. PS -- I expect some awesome thoughts from the most devoted halloween celebrator I have ever met- Mrs. Nikki Tolman- seriously you should see her house for Halloween! I believe last year she even made homemade butterbeer for all the neighbors! She is truly an inspiration.

So..... my sister-in-law was pregnant for Halloween a couple of years ago and she and her husband completely floored me with what they wore to their ward Halloween party-- she simple dressed up sweet and sassy and her husband dressed up like the mail man. yeah. i'm pretty much in the same boat as you are, I LOVE Halloween but have no idea what to do for any of us.

ReplyDeleteOne year Babe and Sharli went as a priest and a pregnant nun... that was pretty funny. Let's seee...... hmmm....what about pregnant celebs (angelina & brad, Gwen Stefani & Gavin Ross)? How about Sully and Mike from Disney??? You could wear a sports bra and paint Mike on your belly and attach some legs on the front of your pants and arms off the side of the sports bra. That would be awesome! Now just to find a huge fury Sully outfit.
I'll keep thinking about it and let you know when I come up with more.
I haven't seen any pics of you preggers this time yet, so I can't really say if it'll work - plus they're a competitor of Disney's, so.............
ReplyDeleteWhatever. How about Shrek & Princess Fiona? I mean, you've already been all the pretty princesses, how about an ogre? lol Tay will probably have to stuff though. (Unless he's like me and is gaining a lot of sympathy weight! lol)

ReplyDeleteWhen I was prego with Hay I went as a cheerleader and Mike a football player. It was simple but really funny. This year Haylee wants to be spiderman. It's funny because she is so girly and yet when there were all the princess outfits in front of her she still picked spiderman. You will have to check out our blog after Halloween to see how funny she is in the muscular spiderman costume!

ReplyDeleteI vote for the pregnant nun! That's awesome. Other than that, there's always the cliche suggestions of a Pumpkin or a Globe.... but you said your belly's not really big enough for a maternity costume, so I'm guessing those wouldn't work too well anywhos. Whatever you do, I hope you post lots of pics because I'm sure you will all look adorable as usual! :) Love you!
