Memorial Day Camping

In our family we have established a tradition that we go camping every memorial day. This year being in AZ I didn't know if we would find any good camping grounds. Low and behold two hours north of us is a great forest area and lots of free space to camp. We had a blast even though the temp was 47 degrees at night ( thank you kelly tate for teaching us about heated rocks in sleeping bags.) All the cousins were there and the kids had a blast running around like crazy people. Uncle Mike took Weston "exploring" and they found some fuzzy caterpillars. The next morning at the crack of dawn Weston got up all disoriented and got out of the tent and started looking for fuzzy caterpillars. We all had alot of fun and can't wait to do it again soon!
Wes and Kallie
The Fam right before we went home ( that's my disclaimer for our disheveled appearance.)

James eating ( which is what he is doing about 80% of the time)

Weston and his new favorite toy- daddy's headlamp! As you can tell by his sticky face- he was loving the marshmellows.

  3. Weston, Maddie is very upset with you. She thought that she was yours forever and now she sees you online with your arm around another girl?!? Sniff sniff (a tear drops...)

  4. Arizona is so great with all of the different climates/weather. How fun to travel not too far and get away to a great camping spot!
